Our Commitment to Safer Gambling
As a customer obsessed business we believe in doing the right thing by our customers. This means creating a safer gambling environment and contributing to the understanding and treatment of those who do experience gambling related harm.
In the year ending June 2017 we invested £621,751, or 0.12% of our total revenues of £515m, in organisations involved in the research, education and treatment of gambling related harm. We therefore just exceeded the recommended 0.1% funding target and will look to spend at least this again next year. Our 2017 spend included contributions to GambleAware, Gordon Moody and the Senet Group for Responsible Gambling.
We also offer a variety of tools to help our customers stay in control of their gambling. These include:
- Deposit limits – these can be set daily, weekly or monthly
- Cool off periods – these block access to all products for up to 30 days
- Self-exclusion – whether this is by one particular product or across all our services customers can block access for up to five years.
We invested significantly in improving our customer monitoring activities to ensure that we are able to proactively contact customers who may be displaying signs of gambling related harm.
